พวกเราคงเคยเห็นเทคโนโลยีเช่น Voice Recognition กันมานานพอสมควร และถือเป็น productivity software อันหนึ่งที่น่าสนใจ แม้เราๆจะไม่ค่อยได้ใช้กันอย่างกว้างขวางนักในประเทศไทย แต่ผมก็เห็นเพื่อนๆแถวๆนี้ ใช้กันอยู่บ่อยๆ ตั้งแต่การเรียกเบอร์โทรศัพท์ ให็โทรโดยอัตโนมัติ การเขียนตอบ อีเมลล์ (Ditaction) หรือการพูดคุยตอบโต้กับรถยนตร์ ที่มีการโปรแกรมเจ้าเทคโนโลยีต่างๆเหล่านี้ไว้ หรือแม้แต่ การใช้ GPS บอกทาง ก็ไม่ใช่เป็นเรื่องแปลกอะไรมากนัก

Siri ที่ผมกล่าวถึง แม้จะไม่ได้เป็นเทคโนโลยีอะไรที่แปลกใหม่ แต่การเอามา integrate เข้ากับการสื่อสารและการค้นหาสิ่งที่เราอยากรู้ ช่วยจัดการสิ่งเล็กๆน้อยๆ การจัดการนัดหมาย การติดต่อ และการที่มี feedback กลับมาให้ผู้ใช้ ดูเหมือนจะเป็นก้าวสำคัญสำหรัยมนุษย์เราๆ ที่สามารถ interact กับเจ้า personal technology นี้ได้ เรียกได้ว่าเหมือนมี digital assistant ประจำตัว
