สวัสดีครับ – ผมสรชัย กรณ์เกษม หรือสอนะครับ
อันที่จริงก็ไม่มีอะไรมากครับ ผมเป็นคนชอบออกแบบดีไซน์และมีโอกาสทั้งด้านการศึกษาและการทำงานนี้มาตั้งแต่ปึ 2532 เลยหาอะไรมาลงให้ดู อ่าน ฟัง เล่นๆดีกว่าครับ ที่เป็นทั้งงานที่เจอะเจอเองบ้าง มีคนโพสไว้บ้าง ที่เขียนลงสื่อต่างๆเองบ้าง หรือเหมาเออออห่อหมกเองจากประสบการณ์
ผมเชื่อว่าการเรียนรู้ด้วยการ ‘ดู’ ‘ฟัง’ และ ‘อ่าน’ ผ่านสื่อต่างๆ เป็นการให้ความรู้ เสนอความคิดที่น่าสนใจอีกแบบ นอกระบบโรงเรียน และผมถือว่าที่นี่เป็นคลังความรู้สะสมส่วนตัว เอาไว้แบ่งปันกันครับ ดยเฉพาะเรื่องของการออกแบบ เรื่องความคิดของคน กระบวนการเรียนรู้ และที่สำคัญ ผมห็นว่าการออกแบบใดๆควรจะเป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม คือถ้าเราจะนิยามคำว่า ‘ออกแบบ’ แล้ว ก็น่าจะเป็นสิ่งที่ไม่ทำลายตัวเราหรือธรรมชาติที่เราพึ่งพาอาศัยอยู่ทุกวันนี้ ช่วยๆกันนะครับ

Sorachai Kornkasem, Ph.D. is a cross-disciplinary professional with diverse experiences in architecture, design, technology, data science, business requirement/analyst, cognitive psychology, and visuospatial research. Sorachai is an intuitive cognitive researcher, result-oriented project manager, and international design creative that extends the architectural practice through the development of transformative methods in visual analytics, environmental behavior and human computer interaction. Over fifteen years of communicating closely with stakeholders in US and Thailand industries prompted his Ph.D. research in cognitive studies, visual-spatial perception and cognition to develop data-driven design to optimize user experience. Competent in architecture and visuospatial cognition fields, Sorachai strongly believes that the synergy of both can further enrich the quality of how we think, live, and act upon our interwoven built and imagined environment.
Sorachai holds a Ph.D in Cognitive Science, as well as MS in Architecture & Urban Design from Columbia University. Awarded with the Edwin A. Horner Graduate Fellowship, Sorachai completed his M.Arch in Behavior & Environment from the University of Illinois. He attended Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand earning the B.Arch (Distinction).
